The Mediterranean crane's-bill, Erodium malacoides, is a small pink flower which, is most easily recognised by the fruit which as the common name suggests resembles a crane's bill. The leaves are soft, thick and hairy; the flowers are arranged in clusters in leaf axils; the 5 spreading petals surround the prominent carpel, the female parts of the flower, which will develop into the characteristic fruit.
