The weed equal-toothed sanfoin, Onobrychis aquidenata, is very tolerant of hot, dry, dusty locations. It is a low growing plant. whose stems spread out across the ground forming a tangled web. The pink flowers are small and the plant is difficult to distinguish from the closely related cockscomb sanfoin, Onobrychis caput-galli, until the characteristic fruits form; these are discs edged with equal teeth. The two species are often found growing together.
