Liliaceae - lily family Μοnocot.
The tiny, pure white flowers of this wild garlic appear as tiny white stars suspended above the surrounding green vegetation. The flowers are supported on a fine rigid stem and arranged in open globes each on an umbrella-like spoke. The six white, narrow petals surround 5 protruding pink or purple stamens and central pink stigma.
The leaves are narrow and strap-like and hare hairy on the underside. They emit the smell of garlic when crushed.
They are mainly found in fields and olive groves.
