Linum corymbulosum

Branched yellow flax                                                                                           Λίνος

Linaceae - flax family                                                                                             Dicot.

With small flowers and fine rigid upright stems, Linum corymbosum is difficult to see amongst surrounding vegetation and can often be overlooked. It is widespread around the Mediterranean. It has tiny attractive yellow flowers which are held on branched stems  with the outer stems longer than the inner ones, so that all the flowers are more or less at the same level, botanically speaking arranged in a corymb.

Linum from latin for linen cloth

corymbulosum from korimbos (κορυμβος) ancient Greek for a bunch of flowers
