Cretan crown vetch, Securigera cretica, is a delicate plant found among the emerging spring grass on damp ground. The flowers, as found on Skopelos, are white tinged with pink and with fine pink lines, but they can vary in shades of pink, white and lilac. It has a Mediterranean distribution but a small population has recently been identified in Texas1.
