Hairy vetch Βίκος
Leguminosa - pea family Dicot.
A yellow pea plant found scrambling through the grass or amongst the spiny plants of the phrygana in late spring and early summer. The leaves have 3-4 oval opposite leaflets with the terminal leaflet modified into a curly tendril. Leaves and stems are covered in hairs and the lemon yellow flowers are characteristically hairy on the outer surface of the vertical upper petal (the standard). The pods when they develop are also hairy.
